GRP Piping: Continuous Filament Winding (CFW) Plant
The state-of-the-art Continuous Filament Winding Plant (CFW) in Vadodara, Gujarat (India) caters to the needs of the Power, Water supply and Sewerage markets wherein large diameter underground piping is required. The CFW plant enables CPP to manufacture GRP Pipes at very competitive prices while executing large piping projects in the shortest possible time.
The CFW plant produces Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) pipes and sleeves from sizes 300 mm dia upto 2600 mm dia.
The plant is fully computer controlled, based on the continuous filament winding process, fully in compliance with A.S.T.M. code D 2996 (Standard Specification for Filament Wound Reinforced, Thermosetting Resin Pipes) type 1, grade 2, class E, and ASTM D3517, ASTM D3754, ASTM D3262, BS 5480:1990, AWWA C950, AWWA Manual M45, EN standards and ISO 10639.
The manufacturing of a continuous pipe or a sleeve blank is carried out on a mandrel formed by winding a continuous steel band over horizontal beams provided with supporting discs sized according to the diameter of the pipe required. The steel band moves in the axial direction sliding over the ball bearings inserted in beam grooves. At the end of the mandrel, the steel band is guided by an exit head into the mandrel inner tube, which supports the exit head. On the opposite end of the mandrel near the cam, the steel band is wound on the mandrel again. In this way the steel band forms a smooth surface mandrel with simultaneous advancing in the axial direction.
The pipes are joined with the help of Sleeves with Reka rings.
CPP has in-house capability to manufacture Bends, Flanges, Reducers and special fittings. Thus the entire piping for a given project is delivered from the same facility.

Installation plays a key role in any piping project. This work is executed by our experienced Installation team. This team seamlessly takes over after the items reach site and ensures a smooth process of installation and testing.
CPP has the capability to carry out design calculations as per ASTM 2992/ 2996, AWWA C950/M45, BS 7159, ISO 14692.
